Director of International Relations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and foster long lasting relationships, including coordination of the bank’s cooperation with the US administration institutions, diplomatic missions and agencies, financial institutions, think tanks, opinion-forming communities and other entities present in the USA
  • Monitor legal regulations and proposed legislative solutions of the United States Congress in terms of their impact on the bank’s activity, report changes to relevant departments of the bank
  • Autonomous participation, coordination and recommendation of the participation of the bank’s Management Board and its representatives in conferences, seminars, meetings and events in Washington
  •  Promote Poland, including the bank’s international initiatives, among government administration employees and business – in the broad sense – in the USA
  •  Build and support the bank’s positive profile in the international environment
  •  Support the expansion and investment of Polish enterprises in the USA
  •  Support the representatives of the bank’s Management Board and bank employees who are visiting the USA
  •  Cooperation with representatives of local traditional and social media

 Requirements:

  • Higher education, majors: international relations or related, finance, banking
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in public institutions / diplomacy, experience in the immediate environment of the US administration agencies and / or international financial institutions a must (e.g. World Bank, International Monetary Fund)
  • The ability to easily establish and build solid and lasting business relationships
  • Commitment, responsibility and autonomy in carrying out delegated tasks 
  • Ability to solve problems and work in a dynamic environment
  • Very good interpersonal skills and impeccable manners
  • Excellent knowledge of Polish and English both oral and written
  • Knowledge of French and Spanish an asset
