The Valve Manufacturers Association has a new opportunity for an energetic and creative marketing and communications professional. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and team-player that takes pride in making a significant contribution to the organization and seeing the successful results of their work come to fruition. This is newly created position that reports to the President, and is responsible for leading VMA’s internal and external marketing and communications efforts across all areas – events, education, publications, membership and more.

Requirements: 10+ years of experience in marketing and communication roles. The successful candidate will possess the ability to identify opportunities, lead and work as team member, communicate well at all levels, be self-directed and follow-through. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong management skills, and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are important. Experience at a trade or professional association is preferred but not required. Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant discipline. Knowledge of basic photo/graphics editing and video production, digital marketing tools, website publishing, media relations, print publications and membership databases such as Your Membership preferred. Some travel is required. |
