• Educate and advocate to senior policy makers and relevant external groups Bank of America’s business model and positioning on financial services policy issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with key influencers from Congressional, Executive and Regulatory offices, trade associations, think tanks and other relevant organizations.
• Identify, analyze and communicate federal financial services policy issues and implications to BofA executive leadership, senior management and enterprise stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities

• Build and maintain relationships with Congressional and Executive Branch policymakers, focusing on Members of the House Financial Services Committee and Senate Banking Committee, the Treasury Department, and financial regulators.
• Advocate on federal legislative and regulatory issues important to BofA, focusing on financial services policy issues impacting Global Banking, Global Markets, Global Wealth and Investment Management, and Consumer Banking.
• Execute program of engaging BofA senior leaders in meeting with federal policymakers in Washington.
• Monitor the legislative and regulatory environment relative to financial services policy and communicate developments to BofA stakeholders.
• Serve as resource for internal and external stakeholders on the federal legislative and regulatory environment and the status of key policy issues.
• Develop and build consensus BofA policy positions on financial services policy issues, working with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with, and communicate BofA positions to, key trade associations and industry coalitions.

Skills and Experience Requirements/Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience working with Congressional and Executive Branch policymakers on legislative and regulatory issues.
• Established relationships with Members of Congress, staff, and Administration officials preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
