Purpose of Job Role:

Drive publicity for TOCA Soccer (primarily) and TOCA Social with media & influencers, managing implementation of campaigns and press office activity for both the TOCA brand and in particular, TOCA Soccer centers.

Drive coverage that attracts investors and consumers dependent on the news/campaign.

Lead the day-to-day development and delivery of creative communications campaigns (with end-to-end ownership for identified initiatives) for TOCA Soccer.

Execute on the global corporate communication strategy in the market set by the VP of Global Communications.

Work in partnership with both VP of Global Communications and relevant global marketing leads to create innovative and integrated campaigns/programs that drive business goals and ROI.

Partner with the broader marketing team to ensure locally PR-driven campaigns are fully leveraged across all channels. Build relationships across the business to help maximize campaign success, specifically for TOCA Soccer.

Drive media & influencer relations in the US and partner with local TOCA centers to execute local media outreach across the region.

Manage (with support from VP of Global Communications) local PR agencies and local talent agents.

Work closely with global colleagues to ensure that global campaigns are optimized in the US.

Role Scope & Responsibilities:

Maintain and grow contacts with the media and influencer space, always looking for new opportunities for TOCA.

Deliver publicity across a range of media titles from national to local with the aim of securing coverage in both business and consumer titles (depending on news/campaign).

Help oversee PR agency and ensure they are briefed and delivering against business objectives.

Help define media and influencer strategy around specific campaigns and initiatives to deliver the best possible results.

Create compelling media materials to help drive coverage across a range of publications with thought to content for social channels.

Ensure key soccer calendar moments form part of the communication strategy and implement accordingly.

Oversee the execution of campaigns to support local marketing efforts for all TOCA Soccer centers and any brand campaigns (both local and Global). Help create local toolkits that are easy for local center GMs to implement.

Present plans to key stakeholders to ensure all activity is maximized across the business – from marketing to strategy teams.

Pre-empt potential problem areas and flag concerns to VP of Global Communications and Global marketing leads and offer appropriate solutions to minimize risks.

Supervise the creation of assets and help to localize global assets.

Write and ensure the appropriate distribution of press releases, oversee press releases with agencies and devise strategy per activity (including the option for wire distribution).

Work with VP of Global Communications to ensure that the team is working to budget.

Identify key business opportunities and work with the agency on award submissions and attendance and speaker opportunities at relevant conferences.

Drive media coverage and social conversation for TOCA partnerships including but not limited to MLS partnership, Harry Kane, Leah Williamson, and US players (TBC).

Maintain excellent media relationships (both consumer and corporate) and liaise with senior journalists to deliver on message coverage and manage the media agenda as appropriate.

Monitor brand landscape for potential issues and help to develop crisis communications statements when needed.

Provide strategic PR counsel to internal teammates from around the business, and from time-to-time senior leadership. Work to ensure that all spokespeople have been media trained and have clear briefing documents ahead of interviews and speaker opportunities.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:


A minimum of 4-5 years proven experience in PR/Communication roles (agency or in-house).


Proven success creating and executing communications strategies and campaigns.

Experience in both corporate and consumer communications.

Up-to-date on industry trends and able to stay ahead of the curve.

Excellent project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Must be able to think strategically but also be able to execute the strategy – be a doer!

Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently.

Great multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines.

Superior written and verbal communications skills.

An existing network of media and influencer contacts.

Flexibility to work a variety of hours to suit business requirements and the willingness to travel when needed (predominately in the US).

A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms (Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook).

Ability to manage relationships with external agencies.

Need to be flexible, every day is different. As a small team, the ability and willingness to work across multiple business areas will be required.


Experience working in either entertainment or sports.

Basic video and photo editing skills.

Influencer marketing experience.

Any advanced training or qualifications in Social Media Marketing.

Internal communications experience.
