WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe Global Communications Consumer Creation Manager will play a key role in developing Nike’s internal and external communications efforts around the world, and will help define, cultivate, and develop stories that drive Nike’s corporative narrative to both employees and external audiences.

As a key member of Nike’s Global Consumer Creation Communications Team, this individual will work closely with Communications teammates across all areas of business to help elevate and amplify stories from the perspective of the consumer. This role will play a meaningful role in crafting our global strategy – from messaging to global events to supporting Nike spokespeople (executives, designers, athletes, etc.), when appropriate.

An effective candidate will successfully develop and cultivate key relationships and work well in a cross-functional, cross-geographical, and cross-category matrix organizational structure.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ONThe role leads all tasks that support the day-to-day strategic narrative, including the organization of dates and gates for key product launches, content creation, recaps, message development, issues management and product ordering. The role will also support executive and employee communications, inspiring Nike’s 70,000+ global employees!

The position requires someone who is highly organized and detail oriented a solid foundation in writing, editing, content creation, and consumer strategy. In this role, an effective candidate will develop and cultivate key relationships and work well in a cross-functional, cross-geographical, and cross-category matrix organizational structure.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
  • 7+ years’ experience in high profile Editorial, Corporate Communications or Communications role supporting and/or covering globally branded organizations, either in agency or in-house
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sports + sports culture, footwear or apparel industry, and youth culture
  • Deep understanding of the evolving digital media landscape

Preferred:

  • Experience working with product, footwear, or apparel
  • Experience working with high profile influencers, brand spokespeople, and athletes
  • Experience with the content creation process (photography, videography, and writing) while creating narrative arcs to support storytelling process
  • Proactive, Creative and results driven
