Job Title: Global Program Manager

The Global Product Engineering Team builds products, platforms, and services that solve challenges for customers world wide. The Global Program Manager role will be part of the Global Product Engineering team at Iron Mountain.

As a Global Program Manager on the Program Management & Governance Team, you will help strategize and implement new and exciting program initiatives across Global Product Engineering (GPE). You will be an essential part of fulfilling the engineering vision to build modern, standardized, commercial platforms providing world class capabilities that exceed our customer needs and expectations.


Lead initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement:

  • Consolidate and improve communication/metrics across tools and platforms
  • Create, monitor, and report on key metrics for all engineering initiatives
  • Collect and maintain critical resource information on a consistent basis
  • Work across multiple teams to collect data and maintain a roster of resources.
  • Provide accurate headcount and resource availability numbers
  • Monitor resource plan records to ensure that resource managers are reviewing, confirming and allocating resources correctly
  • Collaborate with various business functions to determine resource demands, ensure resource requests are covered within vendor contracting scopes
  • Capacity analysis and communication
  • Analyze supporting data for capacity management and portfolio level reviews
  • Create, update, and publish reports associated with resource capacity planning
  • Act as a resource liaison, communicate updates across the organization
  • Coordinate enterprise level external communications with vendors
  • Document and improve standard processes
  • Establish and maintain standard reporting processes (including tools) in support of resource and capacity planning
  • Maintain and share knowledge repository of capacity management tools and processes
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement and automation
  • Train teams on standard reporting processes
  • Identify and resolve issues
  • Act as support for capacity and resource vendor planning across the Engineering organization
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on process metrics to identify issues for action
  • Act as subject matter expert for the team on all the different agile and Project Management platforms and tools we work with, such as Google data studio, Smartsheet, Jira, Gitlab, and Oracle.
  • Assist the Director of Program Management and Governance by performing relevant research to inform strategic decisions and achieve organization wide milestones
  • Research, plan, lead and manage all onboarding initiatives with key business vendors for multiple engagement purposes. Specifically:
  • Set up and host discovery meetings between internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder communications to ensure all vendors are aligned during the strategic, operational, planning, and decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with Iron Mountain Procurement, Security and Risk, as well as Legal teams to ensure vendors meet all Iron Mountain vendor requirements
  • Ensure all documentation is organized and easily accessible by relevant parties

Qualifications Required

  • Strong project management/process background, 5+ years of experience leading enterprise scale projects
  • Experience in following legal and finance processes such as contract and non-disclosure agreement (NDA) issuance and signature, purchase order (PO) management (both incoming and outgoing), invoicing and billing
  • Experience of working with global, multicultural, diverse teams
  • Strong technical background with basic understanding of enterprise technical solutions including networking, storage, hardware, and software layers
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Effective time & prioritization management
  • 5+ years resource planning, capacity management, and project management in a corporate technical environment.
  • Operational familiarity with IT services and experience interacting with vendors as it relates to planning and scheduling the delivery of such services.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, able to grasp, visualize, simplify, and communicate complex processes tailored to specific audiences.
  • Must be able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles while tailoring the messaging based on audience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, able to think creatively and strategically to gather and report insights.
  • Concise communicator with ability to adapt style, message, and format across diverse internal and external audiences
  • Exceptional visual slide communication skills

Educational Needed:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management or related field required

MBA preferred
