  • Day-to-day support for SpaceX lobbyists on Capitol Hill to advance federal legislative, state, and local priorities, across SpaceX’s launch and Starlink businesses
  • Support global Government affairs and global policy activities for Starlink, including government relations support to facilitate and accelerate licensing, market access, and regulatory approvals worldwide
  • Assist with policy and appropriations matters related to civil space, national security space, and commercial space launch regulatory matters
  • Assist with shaping spectrum and broadband policy discussions and initiatives in the U.S., including state and local governments, and with foreign administrations
  • Support senior director in overall coordination of Government Affairs team activities, tracking, and the development of collateral advocacy materials, research, and other similar functions
  • Draft legislative language, attend hearings, draft hearing testimony and regulatory comments, and develop policy positions
  • Help administer and ensure compliance of SpaceX political action committees
  • Monitor and analyze federal and state legislative proposals
  • Support state and local government relations activities as needed
  • Prepare presentations for key audiences for SpaceX leadership
  • Perform research as needed, develop policy and collateral materials


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience working on legislative matters in the private sector, a Congressional office, or an executive agency


  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, including editing skills
  • Outstanding demonstrated research skills
  • Experience working on issues directly related to space policy and telecommunications
  • Congressional, legislative, or federal agency experience, including internships
  • Knowledge of launch vehicles, satellites, and space technology and policy matters
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal contracting and acquisition practices
  • Direct experience in achieving definitive legislative outcomes
  • Experience with political affairs including political action committees
  • Passion for SpaceX’s mission and goals
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to forge coalitions and partnerships


  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be willing to attend political and industry events on behalf of SpaceX


  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
