Government Affairs Director
|Job Role: Advance NEII’s policy priorities through education, advocacy and strategic mobilization of key constituencies. Monitor emerging policy issues and legislation that impact the building transportation industry. Represent NEII members before state and local regulators, legislators and other stakeholders. Identify emerging opportunities and strategies to advance policy priorities. Communicate to NEII members, committees and staff as needed.
Core Competencies and Requirements
Specific tasks include: identifying information needed to advance issues and objectives; reviewing and monitoring legislation and regulatory activities; drafting testimony and comments; conducting meetings with policy makers, industry representatives and/or stakeholders; proactively driving agendas; and providing content and updates for internal and external audiences.
