Government Affairs Director
The Director of Government Affairs will play a key role in advancing CVS Health’s federal advocacy agenda by developing Congressional outreach and campaign strategies. S/he will build and leverage Congressional relationships to strengthen the company’s reputation and promote the company’s long-term objections as a health care innovation company. S/he will have a deep understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes, relationships with Members of Congress and their staff, and particularly with the Energy and Commerce and HELP Committees. A successful candidate will have a track record of working collaboratively as part of a team, and the ability to nimbly respond in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple issues and priorities. S/he will have an in-depth understanding of health care policy and partner closely with the internal policy teams to align priorities and maximize resources.The candidate will have the ability to develop legislative advocacy strategies to support the company’s advocacy/reputation agenda. S/he is responsible for identifying and developing relationships with key Members of Congress and Senators, along with their staff, to educate policy makers about key company initiatives and represent the company’s position before external audiences.
5 years Congressional and/or lobbying experience
Experience working with the House Energy and Commerce and/or Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committees
Bachelor’s Degree required
