We are seeking a Director of Government Affairs to develop policy and political strategy in support of Applied Materials’ business and public policy objectives.

Reporting to our head of Government Affairs, the Director will initiate and maintain relationships with key policymakers in Congress, the Administration, government agencies, associations and advocacy groups to support business and policy goals. In addition, the Director will monitor, track and analyze proposed executive orders, regulations, legislation and other government actions across multiple policy areas impacting the company’s competitive business interests. The Director will prepare various material for internal and external use, including reports, updates, messaging and talking points, coordinate meetings with relevant government stakeholders and assist with management of Applied Materials Political Action Committee. The Director will provide advice and counsel to all levels of management, including the CEO, on government policy and political actions.
