Job Summary/Overview

The TriNet Government Affairs and Political Action Committee (TriNet PAC) Manager will play an important role in advancing TriNet’s regulatory affairs advocacy strategy and the company’s reputation with policymakers and government stakeholders. The TriNet Government Affairs and PAC Manager will support the regulatory affairs program by managing the day-to-day operations and compliance of the TriNet PAC, driving advocacy outreach and engagement, and assuming federal and state government affairs responsibilities.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

·         Design, coordinate and deploy events and communications designed to increase colleague engagement and understanding of the TriNet PAC and regulatory affairs program. 
·         Manage the day-today operations of the TriNet PAC, including TriNet PAC finances, and ensure TriNet PAC’s compliance with state and federal campaign finance laws.
·         Be the primary consultant/advisor to the TriNet PAC Advisory Council. Provide educational and other necessary information to TriNet PAC Advisory Council. Work with the council to recruit future members. Maintain minutes of all meetings. Prepare TriNet PAC annual report
·         Develop and implement fundraising strategies to retain and increase contributions of current donors and expand number of donors to the TriNet PAC.
·         Manage a portfolio of government affairs issues at the federal and state level.
·         Assist in monitoring and tracking of developments of key federal and state legislative and regulatory issues.
·         Maintain websites (e.g., PAC, TN Votes) to support advocacy messaging to colleagues
·         Other responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
·         BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
·         5+ years of federal or state government affairs experience and PAC fundraising. 
·         Experience in public policy areas including: labor, employment, insurance and benefits a plus.
·         Experience in coordinating PAC events and successfully building and implementing a PAC fundraising program a plus.
·         Experience managing federal or state lobbyists a plus.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
·         Knowledge and understanding of federal and state government and campaign finance.
·         Ability to successfully coordinate and manage multiple and diverse projects.
·         Excellent written and oral communication skills a must.
·         Proven leadership ability with self-driven work ethic.
·         Analytical decision maker with creative thinking ability.
·         Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
·         Clear and precise understanding and adherence to ethical principles, company values, code of conduct and policies;
·         Familiarity with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint, and other communications tools such as PAC software.

·         Up to 25% Travel required.
