Under the leadership of the Vice President, Government Relations, manage and achieve the organizations overall government and community goals of the Western Region (consisting of ILH communities) and provide support and recommendations on system wide positions to the Vice President, Government Relations, CEO Inova Loudoun Hospital. Manage and develop relationships with all relevant government and community stakeholders in the Western Region (ILH). Advocate on key system wide and Western Region policy positions and priorities before key elected, appointed and community stakeholders. Identify government and community affairs issues of importance as well as outreach opportunities within the Eastern Region impacting or requiring action on behalf of ILH and collaborate with appropriate internal audiences on strategies to ensure visibility in the community. Management of the Community Health Needs Assessment process and Community Benefit reporting for ILH.
- 5+ years with progressively responsible position within a public affairs or public policy setting dealing with internal and external relationships.
- Knowledge of the healthcare and health insurance industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in public policy, public affairs, health care, health policy or related disciplines
- Ability to organize and present government affairs information in written and verbal formats
- Internally motivated team player, ethical, and discreet
- Ability to provide problem analysis and recommend verbal solutions
- Master’s Degree
