340B Health has an immediate opening for a [Grassroots and Advocacy Manager] at our growing non-profit health care trade association. This position reports directly to the [Vice President of Government Relations].

This position is responsible for managing 340B Health’s grassroots advocacy activities and supporting advocacy initiatives to enhance 340B Health’s political effectiveness on Capitol Hill.



  • Manage and grow our network of grassroots advocates throughout the country
  • Identify potential grass tops advocates and cultivate relationships to advance 340B Health’s goals
  • Build, nurture, and retain grassroots advocates through recruitment of new and strategic supporters with an emphasis on key congressional districts
  • Track our community of grass tops and grassroots advocates and mobilize them as needed
  • Manage 340B Health’s Impact Profile initiative, including assistance with member hospitals on creation of Impact Profiles, maintaining a database of Impact Profiles, and increasing hospital participation
  • Identify external opportunities to support and amplify 340B Health’s priorities
  • Develop advocacy strategies and oversee day-to-day management of advocacy campaigns designed to achieve policy objectives
  • Track 340B Health’s government relations data, including maintenance of grassroots toolkit, tracking of legislative activity in Knowlegis, and updating government relations contacts in membership database
  • Monitor legislative activity and update 340B Health’s member hospitals on relevant issues through regular communications, quarterly newsletter, Action Alerts, and other tools
  • Assist in execution of legislative fly-ins, including coordinating logistics and event preparation and manage 340B Health’s Government Relations Committee

Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience building relationships with advocates for a non-profit organization
  • 2 or more years of professional experience on Capitol Hill or in Government Relations at a trade association
  • Experience with Knowlegis or other grassroots software
  • Passion for the organization’s mission
  • An understanding of the political landscape in Washington, DC
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 Limited travel required but must help staff our annual national conference in California. )
