The Challenge:

The Head of Public Affairs Communications will lead integrated communications for Adobe’s Public Affairs, Government Relations and Legal issues with a focus on elevating Adobe’s Corporate Reputation.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Government Relations, Legal and Communications teams to develop essential communications and narratives that drive the company’s reputation around innovation, digital citizenship, social policy and ethical business practices.
  • Develop, execute, and implement communications plans for policy issues ensuring messaging consistency across platform; continuously advance new and interesting stories in earned media, and drive the creation and distribution of content across owned, earned and paid channels.
  • Coach and prepare Adobe leaders to serve as effective media spokespeople – positioning them as thought leaders in their areas of expertise and advising on reputation implications.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key journalists, editors and influencers to increase their understanding of the Adobe’s mission, technology and impact. Provide timely and appropriate responses to media inquiries and serves as a spokesperson as necessary.
  • Monitor media coverage and recommend strategies accordingly.
  • Support crisis communications activities as needed.
  • Actively collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders in the creation of integrated internal/external communications campaigns both nationally and globally.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Ideally 15+ years of communications experience.
  • Deep knowledge of public policy and media landscapes.
  • Strong written and oral communications.
  • Talent for creating strategic positioning and narratives.
  • Demonstrated experience providing executive council and support.
  • Modern approach to Communications across channels
  • Ability to influence across a matrix.
  • Demonstrated strength in working collaboratively with and across a variety of global, cross functional teams.
  • Excellent creative and critical thinking.
  • Ability to manage and succeed with multiple, competing priorities.
