About The Company
The Forest Road Company specializes in financing for the entertainment, real estate, and renewable energy industries. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate social media strategist to manage the company’s and its executives’ social media presence.

Position Overview
As the Head of Social Media, you will be a key part of the marketing and communications team, helping execute digital and social strategies across Google, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, Clubhouse and others as they arise in order to facilitate the company’s and management’s thoughtful participation in appropriate conversations via social media. The ideal candidate will drive the execution of our day-to-day campaign and work towards designing positioning strategies for our key leaders, while serving as an in-house evangelist on all things digital and counseling key partners on how to amplify important announcements. The candidate should be fluent in paid, owned, social and earned strategies, and have specific experience with community management. This position reports directly into the Head of Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities
• Develop the overarching social media strategy / approach that aligns with the company’s vision and goals
• Maintain a high level understanding of trending topics and market activity
• Research what competitors are doing well, what works, and what we can improve on
• Continuously create new guides, tutorials and best practices for using social media as trends and protocols change in the wider social media landscape
• Monitor the ever-changing social media landscape and propose new ways to use social media and/or new tools as appropriate
• Provide analysis of social media traffic and user behavior and suggest improvements based on data
• Work alongside the marketing team to develop and execute a robust overall marketing strategy including brand building, website & SEO, email marketing and public relations
• Exercise caution at all times, to avoid sharing proprietary information and / or breaking SEC rules
• Help grow the company’s and its leadership team’s social media following, particularly amongst key stakeholders, by:

• Creating & posting content for various company and team member’s Instagrams, LinkedIns (short and long form), and Twitters, and managing engagement/ interactions
• Coming up with growth plans to increase following & engagement, including strategically “following” key players, researching other channels / individuals for cross promotion, etc across Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
• Keeping track of any mentions or content we are tagged in, and flagging anything harmful / that may require an escalated response
• Reposting content created for various channels on FRC and TPC facebook pages
• Creating a long term plan to leverage Clubhouse, or other platforms we may choose to experiment with for WHAT THE SPAC “episodes” (Twitter Spaces, Twitter Live, Instagram Live, etc):

▪       Develop a system for advanced planning and promotion of individual episodes to maximize attendance
▪       Manage run of show
▪       Coordinate with guests / PR teams
▪       Collect questions received via social media in advance of each “episode”
▪       Create bulleted written summaries of each “episode” so we can look back on points that have been made and identify key learnings / ways to improve
▪       Solidify an understanding of the CH algorithm, so that we as a company understand the “rules” and can maximize the platform 

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in related industries recommended
• Strong experience working in social media for organizational purposes
• Excellent social media writing and communication skills
• Experience with mobile apps
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Exceptional editorial judgement
• Ability to discuss the ROI of social media campaigns)
• Knowledge of digital/online industry tools, key players and trends
• Resourcefulness, team orientation, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Ability to work independently and request support and advice when required
• Proven leadership qualities, a strong work commitment, and high ethical standards
• Ability to handle demanding assignments, and be able to think on your feet
