Facebook is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to support our Central Products organization. This person will join the Global Internal Communications team and will be responsible for developing and executing an internal communications strategy that helps keep employees informed and connected to the organization’s mission. The Central Products organization includes all the shared features that operate across multiple products or apps such as design, integrity, research, analytics, and social impact products.

In this role, you will define and drive the internal communications strategy for the organization and serve as a strategic advisor to executives across Central Products. You will have the opportunity to create initiatives that will directly impact the people and company culture within Central Products and the broader Facebook company.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who excels at collaborating with executives, colleagues, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality work even in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You should be exceptionally organized and detail oriented, capable of managing cross-functional projects and work streams, with an aptitude for prioritization. Strong writing and editing skills are essential—specifically the ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner. Experience in developing and executing communication plans, managing internal events, and moderating internal communities is preferred. You should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve.

Internal Communications Manager, Central Products Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Central Products executives to develop internal communications strategies for their respective areas
  • Develop and execute change management and strategic communication initiatives in partnership with teams across Central Products and Facebook
  • Manage internal communication channels for Central Products organizations, which involves proactively working with content authors, moderating Workplace posts, and managing Workplace group membership
  • Manage internal communications-led events from inception to execution, which includes creating narrative themes, developing executive messaging, and overseeing event logistics
  • Write and develop messaging around various topics, including company strategy, priorities, and announcements
  • Understand the unique needs of product, engineering, and business teams (goals, products, tools, process) in order to produce effective and relevant communication strategies
  • Provide proactive and reactive messaging that supports key initiatives and program rollouts
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience working in corporate communications, political campaigns, or nonprofit mission-driven communications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline
  • Experience creating internal communications narratives for diverse audiences, using multiple types of channels and mediums
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Experience managing company events and executing on communications logistics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience writing and turning complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content
  • Experience communicating to an employee population of technologists and engineers
