Meta is looking for an Internal Communications Manager to lead our Infrastructure Data Centers (IDC) Internal Communications Team. This person will lead the team responsible for developing and driving internal communications that keep employees informed, inspired, and connected to the mission and our common values. In this role, this person will have the opportunity to create, lead, and execute on initiatives that will directly impact the culture within IDC. This person will be a crucial partner for teams across IDC and within broader Meta. The ideal candidate will excel at working collaboratively with executives and cross-functional colleagues alike and consistently deliver high-quality work even under severe time constraints. Candidates should be strategic, strong communicators, and creative thinkers. Attention to detail, ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment, and organization skills are critical. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve, as well as storytelling within our organization.
Internal Communications Manager, Infrastructure Data Centers Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of internal communications partners to execute the organization’s communication strategy, with impact spanning multiple global teams and business partners
  • Lead overall planning for the internal communications portfolio, defining detailed work plans and key metrics to ensure progress against goals
  • Evolve the existing communications model to better scale with the business, and to balance support for run-the-business communications and engaging campaigns
  • Guide internal communications partners in developing and executing proactive and strategic internal communication initiatives and messaging campaigns around various topics, including IDC strategy, priorities, and organizational change
  • Understand the unique needs of the teams (goals, products, tools, process) in order to guide execution of an effective and relevant internal communication strategy
  • Partner closely with other internal and external communications teams to align on communication opportunities and implement strategies that are consistent with company-wide better practices
  • Create more rigor around communications operations and measurement
  • Ensure IDC maintains transparent, broad alignment across our global footprint with a focus on speaking in one voice
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, Psychology, Communications, Operations, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years professional experience in strategy, consulting, internal communications, or business operations
  • Experience leading teams through ambiguity and a highly matrixed organization with shifting priorities
  • Experience developing strategic communications plans and executing against them
  • Experience producing creative and engaging communications content
  • Experience engaging with and influencing senior executives
  • Demonstrated experience building cross-functional relationships across an organization
  • Experience managing multiple strategic priorities simultaneously and independently
  • Experience in leading cross-functional projects and developing programming around multi-dimensional topics
  • Experience with crisis management, change management, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) communications
  • Experience in solving problems using judgment and analysis
  • Presentation skills

  • Experience working in a growth company
  • Experience in the technology industry and/or communicating to an employee population of technologists and engineers
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse, global communities
  • Experience leading internal communications campaigns, programming, and events for a globally distributed and/or remote audience
