International Affairs Analyst
Provide policy, advisory, and programmatic analysis of the four programs within the International Affairs Program (IAP), including Foreign Area Officer (FAO), Regional Affairs Officer (RAO), Foreign Area Staff (FAS) Non-Commissioned Officer, and the Personnel Exchange Program (PEP). Provide analytical support for the development of recommendations for policy, execution, and coordination of all four programs in the IAP. Serve as a lead analyst for the program, including supporting annual reporting requirements and pre-deployment trainings and reviewing and drafting all updates of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with foreign partners. Draft and staff various information papers and briefings, as required.
-Experience with working in the DoD
-Experience with managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
-Experience with working independently and as part of a team to analyze complex data
-Knowledge of DoD security cooperation or security assistance programs
-Ability to apply excellent research and analytical expertise to tasks
-BA or BS degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, or an International field
-Experience in working with General Officer and Senior Executive-level officials
-Knowledge of formal USMC and DoD staffing and coordination processes, including Marine Corps administrative procedures
-Knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS)
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MA or MS degree
