Position Summary

The Legislative Analyst, Federal Government Relations (FGR), is responsible for communications, coordination, research, tracking, analysis, advocacy, and legislative support of lobbying strategies as directed by APCIA’s lobbyists, in addition to administrative support for APCIA’s lobbyists. This position reports to the Vice President, Federal Government Relations and works closely with all members of the APCIA Federal Government Relations team.

Position Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Familiarity with government processes, specifically in the legislative and executive branches. Congressional staff experience a plus. A fellowship and internship will be accepted.
  • A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint with specific experience and training in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word. Must be comfortable creating and using spreadsheets, creating charts and graphs using Excel and PowerPoint, and mail merges from
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good political instincts.
  • Willingness to learn new technology skills is preferred.
