Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is seeking a Legislative Policy Consultant, Senior, to support a federal contract.

The selected individual will be an integral part of a multi-organizational team tasked with supporting healthcare transformation within a government agency. Innovative support will be necessary across several areas, including: Program and Project Management and Integration, Improvement and Change Management, Data and Analyses, Training, Strategic Communications and Implementation, Supply Chain, Financial Management Modernization, and Policy Support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multi-faceted, public policy, and legislative program areas
  • Head development of integral product and service strategy
  • Lead policy analysis, strategic planning, and communication initiatives
  • Create team structure for range of support services
  • Lend support in building and sustaining successful cross-team management structure capable of providing range of support services including legislative relations and policy analysis
  • Meet regularly with government program manager to discuss performance, propose initiatives, and establish priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree and minimum of 6+ years of related experience
  • Legislative, lobbying, research and/or campaign organizing, press relations and public speaking
  • Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills, and demonstrated ability and effectiveness working across teams
  • Prior experience and ability in writing training information and materials
  • Prior experience and knowledge of the national legislative process
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access and SharePoint
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams and to work independently
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship indefinitely
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust if required

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Master’s degree
  • PMP or other certification
  • Prior health care, or general management/government consulting experience
