Legislative Research Attorney (Labor and Employment, REMOTE)
Latitude is seeking a legislative attorney with 3-6+ years of legal experience for a long-term remote engagement with a large law firm. This role involves identifying and reviewing emerging state legislation related to labor and employment and drafting summaries for clients.
Desired experience includes: experience researching state, local and federal statutory law, experience with legislative processes at the state or federal level, general labor and employment experience and drafting client updates/legislative summaries.
Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm, government relations boutique law firm or lobbying firm is a plus. This engagement may be full-time or part-time depending on the candidate.
Minimum Qualifications of the Legislative Research Attorney (Labor and Employment)
- 2-6+ years of practice experience in legislative services or legal research at a well-respected full-service law firm or sophisticated boutique firm is highly preferred
- Prior AmLaw 100 experience is preferred
- Prior exposure to labor and employment legal issues is preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Capability to work independently
- Licensed in any state in the United States
- Excellent academic credentials
- Outstanding references
