Position Overview

The American Gaming Association (AGA) seeks a Manager, Communications & Responsibility to provide tactical support for communications and responsible gaming efforts. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Communications & Responsibility, the manager supports the execution of campaigns, releases, and day-to-day business. We are looking for an energetic team player with experience working at an association or agency. The ideal candidate is a proactive, collaborative, and impeccably organized, eager to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage a diverse workload with competing deadlines.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Contribute to the AGA’s responsible gaming initiatives by drafting materials, managing logistics, conducting research, presentation development, and ad hoc support as needed.
  • Support Have A Game Plan partner engagement, presentation development, and content creation.
  • Compile and distribute daily AGA clips email.
  • Monitor breaking or trending news on key industry issues areas.
  • Draft, proofread, and build association communications, including member and industry emails, social media content, presentations, collateral materials, website content, graphics, and more.
  • Support maintenance of AGA social media channels and websites by drafting and posting content and building web pages.
  • Support tracking of email marketing, social media, and communications results.
  • Conduct general research and proofreading for the team to ensure consistency and clarity.
  • Manage the team calendar and timelines for campaign and release execution.

Experience, Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to three years’ communication experience.
  • Preferred background with an association or agency.
  • Motivated, self-starter able to work independently as well as collaboratively with all AGA staff to advance communications objectives.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including writing and editing for a variety of platforms.
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Command of AP Style and familiarity with ActiveCampaign (or similar), Cision, Canva, TVEyes, and WordPress.
