This position serves the policy and regulatory compliance needs of International Fragrance Association, North America (IFRANA)’s membership. This position supports the Director, Regulatory Affairs & Science Policy and the Director, Government Affairs & Legal. This position reports to the Director, Government Affairs & Legal.


•    Monitor, review, and analyze legislative and regulatory developments and other publications for relevancy and impact on the fragrance industry and communicate same to IFRANA members
•    Develop summaries and other tools to aid IFRANA members with compliance to local, state, and federal policy and regulatory matters
•    Provide regulatory compliance assistance to association members via telephone, written communications, and, when necessary, through visits to member locations
•    Monitor the Federal Register for regulations affecting fragrance materials and fragrance mixtures and provide analysis to IFRANA members
•    Monitor and report on developments in key states and in Canada concerning association priority issues
•    Serve as a contact for relevant association committees
•    Attend on IFRANA’s behalf and report on meetings of government agencies and industry coalitions
•    Assist with the planning and organizing of IFRANA’s Lobby Day and advocacy events
•    Assist in the development of regulatory and legislative content for the IFRANA website and newsletter

•    Bachelor’s degree, degree in sciences valued. Must have capability to learn and advocate on behalf of technical industries
•    3+ years related experience, e.g., in an association, lobbying firm or corporate government relations office. Capitol Hill experience valued
•    Understanding of US regulatory system, familiarity with EPA, FDA valued as is health and safety policy experience
•    Comfortable working in small staff environment and being hands-on with both vision and execution of initiatives

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as developed interpersonal skills
•    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize duties
•    Strong organizational and analytical skills
•    Dedication to member needs. Customer service experience valued
•    Ability to handle confidential information
•    Sound administrative skills and proficiency in Office software
