Reporting to the Managing Director, Government Relations, the Manager, Political and Government Relations will promote and administer CREFC’s political action committee, CREFC PAC. The Manager works closely with CREFC’s government relations and policy team and industry partners to engage with members of Congress. The Manager should have previous PAC experience in fundraising to continue the PACs growth to join its Washington, DC team.

Professional and Educational Background

• Minimum of three years of related experience required.

• Education: BA/BS preferred.

• Previous trade association experience preferred or political experience with a high level of demonstrated involvement in political fundraising is preferred.

• Familiarity with FEC regulations and state pay-to-play laws are a plus.

Position Requirements

• Superior verbal and excellent written communication skills are essential.

• Ability to work collaboratively, and engage comfortably with senior executives.

• Highly proactive, self-motivated and ability to develop creative solutions.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Skilled in MS Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Understanding of legislative processes a plus.

• Entrepreneurial and creative thinking.


Responsible for the administration of the PAC, including education efforts, solicitation process, and growing receipts. The Manager, Political and Government Relations will create, engage and manage the following responsibilities:


• Relationships with CREFC members and House and Senate political fundraisers.

• Event concepts, including marketing and production of fundraising events.

• Materials for peer-to-peer fundraising; including emails, one-pagers, graphics, and PAC educational webpages.

• Weekly fundraising dashboards as well as monthly election updates and analysis to increase CREFC member political engagement.

• Materials and reports for CREFC Executive Committee, Board and PAC Committee meetings.


• In the PAC’s budget, disbursement and compliance reporting process.

• Responsibilities include other duties as assigned.

• Oversee donor thank you initiatives.

• Provide guidance to the Executive Director and Government Relations and Policy team on political headwinds that may impact disbursements.


• Fundraising requests and relationships with DC fundraisers and Party Committees.

• Outside vendors related to PAC management.
