Responsible for managing a public relations activities. Directs publicity programs and campaigns, improves public image of company, and clarifies company’s point of view on important issues.

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (including donors) through established feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Develop media relations strategy and outreach campaigns, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media.
Coordinate all public relations activities.
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within local, regional and national outlets, as well as targeted business and industry media outlets.
Work with the director and the business units to Develop a marketing communications plans, including strategy, goals, budget and tactics.
Work with the director to provide public affairs support to the enterprise, maintaining effective working relationships with key staff and elected representatives at local and state government levels.
Work with business units to develop and manage appropriate community relations outreach and support, including community sponsorship opportunities.
Work with director to plan for and manage crisis communications efforts and provide issues management support Manage communications specialists, overseeing communications support provided to business units.
Create and edit content for press releases, media kits, byline articles and keynote presentations.
Manage media inquiries and interview requests, in coordination with communication specialists.
Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
Formulate policies and procedures related to public information programs.
Compile and edit comprehensive information about the company for the media.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assist other departments as needed.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work relative to the field of assignment. The required major is Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline.
Requires five or more years of public relations experience.
Requires experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skills in both broadcase and print media interviews.
Requires experience in designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level.
Must maintain knowledge of and perform according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
Must have general knowledge of Adobe Suite products.
Must have previous work experience with Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
Must have knowledge of journalism, public relations, media, and/or developing publications.
Must become familiar with all services of the Company.
Must know the science, clinical practices, market dynamics, competitive products, and competitive selling strategies in domestic and international markets.
Must have in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques, strategies, concepts and practices which include online, social media, and digital marketing.
Must be familiar with the community, all areas serviced, media relations and Company programs.
Must possess strong organizational, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience in dealing with multiple clients for business development and/or fundraising.
Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Must have strong computer skills.
Must be able to print and write legibly.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must have excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Must be cost-conscious, results-oriented, and possess basic business skills.

Works in a well-lighted, air conditioned and heated office. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment. May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend. Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.
Must be able to drive on behalf of the organization.
Will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours.
Requires ability to reach, lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range.
