Marketing Communications Manager

JGA seeks a Marketing Communications Manager with experience in developing and implementing B-to-B communications strategy and programs for our capabilities and services. The candidate will work with the leadership team on new business development. S/he will develop programs for marketing communications, media relations and editorial services as well as work with external experts and partners to expand our market reach. S/he will also have the opportunity to expand our current capabilities to support our growing expansion from retail into healthcare, hospitality and food industries. Duties of a Marketing Communications Manager include:

  • Developing and executing an integrated communications strategy for JGA incorporating public relations, marketing and online communications.
  • Implementing communications plans to increase brand awareness and recognition for JGA
  • Developing relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage both online and offline.
  • Collating and analyzing current communications and messages and identifying new opportunities for continuous improvements
  • Communicating the JGA brand messages internally and externally.


Education and Professional Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years, previous experience as a communications and/or marketing manager or in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design or related field


Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Ability to translate business development strategy into implementable solutions
  • Ability to define, track and measure results
  • Ability to develop well-designed, clearly written, visually articulate and content-relevant client presentations as well as RFI/RFP responses
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office as a minimum – Powerpoint, Excel and Word. Proficiency in creative software – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign – is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic – must be self-motivated, client-focused and detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills – must have the discipline and focus to handle multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment as well as manage external resources
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills are a must
  • Good interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, high energy and adaptability.


Primary Responsibilities

  • This position reports to the Executive Vice President
  • S/he will have significant visibility to prospective clients and media
  • S/he will participate in presentations to prospective and established clients
