Marketing Communications Manager
The mission of Girls Inc. of Greater
Atlanta is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Our
comprehensive approach to whole girl development equips girls to navigate
gender, economic, and social barriers and grow up healthy, educated, and independent.
Informed by girls and their families, we also advocate for legislation and
policies to increase opportunities for all girls and address the systemic
barriers that impede girls’ success.
Marketing and Communications Manager supports the
organization in aligning all phases of the marketing strategy, from content
development, branding, to execution, distribution, and measurement. In this
role, the Manager will ensure the highest standards and brand consistency established
by Girls Inc. This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects
with competing timelines—especially during peak seasons, and the ability to
demonstrate expertise in cultivating relationships with vendors, local
businesses, community organizations, and the media.
Coordinate and execute the design of advertising, bi-weekly newsletters, marketing collateral, social media, and media relations campaigns; creates production schedule, budget, and a tactical plan.
Perform marketing research within each community to better identify target audiences and needs.
Collaborates with internal staff on upcoming projects and events to develop a content calendar.
Develops press releases, feature stories, bios, program guide content, and marketing emails.
Ensures that website content for SEO and target audience development are maintained, updated and analyzed.
Supports development office fundraising-related events and in cultivating community and partner relationships.
Utilize research findings to generate leads and maintain consistent reach, awareness, and opportunities for growth in each market.
Develop innovative ways to reach a target demographic in each market to include the use of technological advances, outreach organizations, advertising, and patient trends.
Designs and manage public programs and events in concert with the Development Manager and other Leadership Team Members.
Plans and administers community outreach and initiates new collaborations within each Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta Program community.
Represents Girls Inc. at events both on-site and within the community
Collects data to continually improve quality and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
Provides consultation and acts as a resource for local marketing and public relations initiatives.
Identifies, develops and executes communications strategies for key media contacts and corporate supporters
Develops and manages media relationships and coordinates/manages press interviews
Maintains brand integrity, enhancing the organization’s image and position within the marketplace and public.
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, advertising, or related.
Three years of marketing, communications, public relations, or advertising experience.
Strong writing, project coordination and creative problem-solving skills.
Strong and exceptional skills in social media and website development/management.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) Canva
and ability to handle some video production and editing. Need to know or be
able to learn to other software specific to Girls Inc.
Ability to work in an organized manner and able to respond effectively to change.
Must be a self-starter who can assess and manage competing priorities.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills are a must.

Ability to work weekends, as needed.
Conditions of Employment
Employment by Girls Inc. for all positions is contingent upon successfully passing a criminal background check, including a sex offender check and a review of Department of Motor Vehicles
