Overview

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of communications programs that effectively describe and promote CAES and its products and services.  This position is unique in the fact that it will support both internal and external corporate communications and lead a small team of professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage ongoing internal and external communications, including building and adhering to an editorial calendar, creating and publishing press releases and managing a small team of communications professionals.
  • Partner with leaders and communications team to build, strategize and execute communications materials including: press releases, presentations, website and blog content, social media content, video content, intranet content, brochures, and newsletters.
  • Coordinate media requests, outreach and tracking of news hits.
  • Lead company advertising and marketing efforts.
  • Manage corporate trade show participation including booth design, employee participation and logistics.
  • Enforce and maintain appropriate and consistent brand voice.
  • Plans, organizes, and implements communications plans working with cross-functional teams, as necessary. Determines scope and execution, tracks progress towards milestones, establishes timelines, and evaluates progress.
  • Maintains company external website including SEO strategy and manages website vendor.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • 6 years of corporate communications experience, supporting complex organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. Expert-level writing and proofreading/editing skills
  • Experience leading a team to ensure projects are aligned and delivered on time and accurately
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring rapid turnaround and decision making

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 years of corporate communications experience, supporting complex organizations
  • Proven ability to create and manage communications in a fast-paced organization
  • Experience working with creative partners (i.e., video, design, multi-media specialists) to bring communications to life
  • Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills
  • Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
  • Ability to build quality working relationships across key stakeholder groups
  • Creative thinker who is excited about building and delivering big ideas
  • Ability to translate highly technical information into easy-to-understand, non-technical content
  • Familiarity with AP style
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office, Hubspot, Cision and other software platforms
  • Experience in aerospace and/or defense industry
