About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Communications Consultant (Media Relations Advisor, Corporate Communications). This position is responsible for strategic regional media relations and external communications.

In this role, you will:

  • Write and edit a variety of communications, including press releases and pitches
  • Build and maintain relationships proactively and reactively with local and regional media partners
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and provide strategic communications counsel to business leaders and lines of business partners
  • Track results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes and business objectives
  • Partner with communicators to create alignment and support for enhancing the overall corporate reputation
  • Assist in the development and activation of strategic communications initiatives that align with, support and advance Wells Fargo’s business objectives
  • Implement communications strategies to promote and protect Wells Fargo’s reputation
  • Seek opportunities to fully leverage external channels to tell and amplify our story

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong external communications and public relations experience
  • Experience with issues management and crisis communications
  • Experience with media, building strong relationships with local and regional journalists, reporters, editors and producers
  • Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for creative storytelling
  • Experience managing multiple communications projects

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
