We’re looking for a creative self-starter, savvy communicator, engaging storyteller, and trusted advisor ready to help take our communications to the next level. The ideal candidate knows how break through a competitive media environment using modern and innovative communications tactics as well as designing and executing compelling thought leadership campaigns.


Work you’ll do:


The Global Communications Manager will play a key role in two critical activities: differentiating Deloitte externally through robust media relations activities and supporting the adoption of “One Deloitte Voice” throughout Deloitte regions and geographies. As part of the Media COE, this position will be responsible for preparing media materials (messaging, talking points, media briefings) for internal and external use and supporting Deloitte leaders’ media interviews in global media markets. As part of the Eminence and Engagement COE, this role will help develop research, surveys and other thought leadership to support media campaigns and will play a key role in supporting the integrated launch of our signature global eminence pieces, and our paid and sponsored media program.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Work across all geographies, regions and businesses to identify, prioritize, secure, and support earned and paid media opportunities that differentiate Deloitte and demonstrate our depth of expertise on matters important to our clients and businesses.
  • Support the execution of the Global Leaders paid media program including helping develop an editorial calendar and pipeline of content. Draft content and review submissions to ensure a high-quality, insightful product.
  • Project manage marquee global eminence pieces, namely the Millennial Survey and Industry 4.0 Readiness Report, by holding weekly stakeholder calls, developing communications collateral and coordinating launch activities with Global groups including the BCMI Community, media, digital, Deloitte Insights and others.
  • Draft materials such as articles, blogs and op-eds for publication on paid, earned, owned and shared content platforms
  • Develop communication materials such as key messages, talking points and briefing documents to assist member firm communications professionals with local promotion of global pieces.
  • Support Comms contributions to the BCMI community, Global Comms Council and One Deloitte Voice Council. Maintain processes to ensure consistently high quality of communications deliverables.

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the below requirements:



  • Proven strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong powerpoint skills
  • Ability to think and work independently to carry forward projects from beginning to end with little oversight
  • Experience developing and executing creative, clutter-busting communications strategies for traditional media, social media, blogs, and other communications vehicles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to define appropriate communications performance indicators, report on success measures and evaluate metrics to enhance/improve communications activities and strategies
  • Knowledge of web and social media platforms/tools to achieve marketing/communications objectives
  • Knowledge of media environment
  • Strong relationship building/relationship management skills with all levels
  • Ability to interact, work with, and advise senior leadership in a complex, matrix organization

Education and years of experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; minimum seven years’ experience in organizational communications and/or corporate affairs experience; media outlet or PR agency experience is desirable
