Grounds & Hounds is a social-impact coffee company that is committed to using the sale of its organic, specialty coffees to support animal rescue organizations providing safe-havens for dogs between homes. G&H is looking to expand and grow as a profitable business while remaining socially responsible and making an impact in the lives of animals and avid coffee drinkers alike.

To support our mission and growth, we are seeking a talented and experienced Paid Media Manager to oversee all aspects of Digital Media Buyer (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest). The manger is an expert at communicating the Grounds & Hounds brand, tone and voice to create highly engaging ad units to maximize the qualified traffic driven to the Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. website, leading to cost effective conversion. The Manger lives and breathes data to optimize campaigns across platform, ad unit, content, copy, CTA, and targeting. The Manager uses their natural creative instincts to create ads that engage the largest possible audience per channel without diluting the Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. brand.

Some duties include:

  • Coordinate the release of new content to the creation of new ad campaigns across Top, Mid and Bottom of Funnel Campaigns
  • Provide data feedback to Marketing and Content teams to ensure the right content is being created to feed paid campaigns
  • Create ad campaigns using existing media assets (without relying on new productions exclusively)
  • Coordinate and write copy as needed to correctly portray the company in all phases of the funnel
  • Utilize knowledge in graphic design to create ad assets as needed
  • Creatively cultivate new audiences based on social interests and web traffic
  • Explore and test the expansion of audiences based on interests of target consumers
  • Maintain a positive return on ad spend to ensure the company is using the assigned budget efficiently
  • Analyze performance metrics across campaigns to better guide the content team
  • Maintain accurate data to understand current performance on all platforms
  • Work with sales, operations and customer service to ensure customer has the best possible experience
  • Manage paid media and SEO/SEM vendors to ensure their performance is above target and a full knowledge transfer of best practices and key learnings
  • Ensure quality, accuracy and consistency of ads deployed
  • Assist with the on-boarding and off-boarding of peer Paid Media Managers as well as partner agencies, as needed
  • Maintain strong awareness and commitment to continuously self-educate on the evolving ad product marketplace and ad optimization strategies across existing and new platforms.
  • Collaborate with product and business owners to strategize new lead gen opportunities and execute on growth plans through high-volume ad buys
  • Own experimentation and testing of campaign strategies, leveraging all available data streams to draw insights
  • Build, launch, optimize and own reporting on all campaigns, communicating roadblocks in real-time and teaming up to find solutions
  • Create engaging ad copy and image selections for campaigns, following strict compliance standards
  • Manipulate large data sets using Excel for interpretation and reporting
  • Balance the analytical and creative to achieve results

What You Will Bring: 

  • Experience managing high-volume, high-budget direct-response performance marketing campaigns, and optimizing for KPIs, like CPA, ROAS, and Lead Gen
  • Ability to execute ad buys on paid social channels such as Facebook, Snap, Twitter, or Instagram
  • Comfortability manipulating large data sets using Excel and Google Analytics, and experimenting with different targeting strategies based on audience trends
  • Preference for collaboration in problem-solving and the ability to identify and share resources to accomplish business goals
  • Comfortability working in the unknown and an entrepreneurial mindset

Education and Skill Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in digital marketing
  • Agency experience or D2C brand experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading, and speaking
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Proficient with Photoshop and other Adobe Suite products preferred
  • Facebook Blueprint certification preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to execute projects with little supervision
  • Outstanding customer service ethic with high expectations for quality
  • Proficient with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Analytics and Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in digital ad placement (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) using AdEspresso or comparable software
  • Creative problem solver with an exceptional eye for detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
