People Manager

Little Otter
The People Manager will be responsible for implementing dedicated people strategies that promote Little Otter’s core cultural values. This role is an essential member of our DEI team in supporting organizational-wide development and DEI initiatives. The People Manager will need to recommend and implement inclusive policies and programs. They will be required to create cultural awareness initiatives to make Little Otter a diverse and inclusive environment. They will also serve as a trusted advisor and be responsible for multiple employee relations issues such as dispute resolutions, performance management, and HR policies.
Salary: $120k plus equity


    • Develop, lead and track key DEI measures to ensure we successfully represent a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce
    • Implement an ongoing engagement/employee satisfaction survey Implement and deliver DEI initiatives, including developing programs and training
    • Ensure up-to-date knowledge and awareness of global and cultural issues
    • Work collaboratively with the leadership team to understand workforce needs and provide recommendations for sourcing, attracting, and engaging diverse talent
    • Create and implement employee appreciation events
    • Support the development of HR policies and procedures
    • Investigate and resolve complex and vital employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner
    • Be the go-to person for employees as a trusted counselor
    • Responsible for all aspects of employee relations to ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently across the board
    • Counsel, support, and guide directors and managers to resolve issues
    • Demonstrate expertise in employment issues and resolutions
    • Provide expertise to Little Otter’s team in the areas of employee relations and engagement strategy
    • Execute employee relations disputes and exit interviews
    • Perform other duties as required

Key requirements

    • 5 years of  diversity and inclusion experience required
    • 3+ years of employee relations required
    • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
    • SHRM certification preferred
    • Understanding of DEI best practices
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of HR policies & procedures
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Team-oriented, collaborative, and thoughtful
    • Ability to maintain confidential information
