WWC Global is seeking a Policy Analyst to support a DHS Client.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Research, analyze, and leverage the expertise and network across all levels of government, academia, and the private sector to gain insight into emerging technologies that may support more effective mitigation of emerging threats.
  • Establishing a process to identify and leverage a network of subject matter experts that can inform the development of new capabilities to enhance security.
  • Assisting the government with assessing and identifying the broad array of existing solutions, methodologies, and resource capabilities across all level of government, academia, and the private sector that can be utilized to enhance security.
  • Identify, document, and disseminate guidance regarding new or emerging solutions for the purpose of responding to urgent requirements that may need an accelerated timeline due to emerging threats.
  • Developing a proposed method for how stakeholders can better gain access to information regarding solutions to challenging security areas through the conceptualization of a “clearinghouse” mechanism.
  • Assisting the government with preparing correspondence, including reports and presentations, to communicate results of the solution scouting, available standards, and clearinghouse results.
  • Coordinate with the Department’s Science and Technology Directorate to develop and maintain a catalog of validated technologies that can be communicated with stakeholders to inform decision-making on security investments.
  • Providing support to interagency executive steering committees, working groups, and intra-agency policy commitees or policy coordination committees on securing public gatherings and related topics as assigned.
  • Assisting the government in the development and execution of special projects, including planning, reviewing of policy documents, or developing Executive Office directives, orders, strategies, legislation, and regulatory initiatives.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • 3+ years of relevant, professional experience including all of the following:
    • Excellent analytic skills.
    • Advanced research skills.
    • Experience with reviewing and/or developing policy at the federal level.
    • Ability to draft point papers, and briefings for presentation to leaders at all levels of government.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • EO 14042, the vaccine mandate for federal contractors, is enjoined and not currently being enforced. Should enforcement resume, applicants must understand and agree to comply with the order and related guidance.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. WWC Global will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Current, active DHS Suitability.
  • Strong understanding of DHS, CISA, and ISD policies.
  • Previous experience working within DHS.
