Position Summary

Policy & Government Relations: Political Action Committee (PAC) Manager

Location for this role is flexible

Deloitte Policy & Government Relations (PGR) is looking for a high-performing professional to manage the Deloitte PAC. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced PAC professional looking to manage a large business PAC operating at the federal and state levels. As PAC Manager, you will be an integral member of the PGR team and will provide operational support and strategic counsel to the PAC Board, PGR leadership, and internal stakeholders. This role can be performed virtually, and geographic location is flexible.

Role Description:

As PAC Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Deloitte PAC, ensure compliance with rules and guidelines, assist in setting the PAC’s goals and strategy, and work with firm leaders on the PAC Board to manage PAC giving, governance, and oversight. Responsibilities include:

  • Work with PGR leadership on PAC strategy, communications, and risk controls
  • Support and advise the PAC Board and PGR leaders on political giving at the federal and state levels
  • Manage intake, processing, and distribution of all federal and state disbursements
  • Manage federal and state databases and work with outside vendors to comply with data hygiene best practices and data retention requirements
  • Coordinate with internal and external counsel to generate and file federal and state reports in compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with Finance on payroll and payment processing
  • Lead PAC budgeting, disbursements, compliance, governance, and communications processes
  • Help lead and prepare for PAC Board meetings and support the PAC Board Chair
  • Perform regular competitor and market analysis and benchmarking
  • Lead PAC fundraising and communications initiatives, including the annual solicitation
  • Manage operational PAC functions including vendor relationships, website maintenance, bank reconciliations, and internal reporting
  • Assist with requests from Deloitte partners, practitioners, and client account teams

 Policy and Government Relations Core Functions

  • Protect Deloitte’s business interests and expand growth opportunities through advocacy, education, and engagement at the federal and state levels
  • Establish Deloitte as a trusted thought leader by promoting the firm’s eminence with government stakeholders and policy influencers at the federal and state levels
  • Support internal and external clients by monitoring, analyzing, and providing insights into the political, legislative, and public policy landscapes
  • Identify and analyze policy trends to help inform business decisions, develop policy positions, and advance the firm’s business objectives and initiatives

Qualifications include:

  • 4-8+ years PAC administration experience, including processing PAC  disbursements, generating compliance reports, and working with PAC databases (DDC experience preferred)
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and deadline-oriented environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to self-direct work
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Data analytics experience a plus
  • Potential travel of up to 10% (While up to 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
