Central Research Program Managers build and scale global research programs to strengthen the impact of our world-class UX Research team. We do this by implementing operational systems, connecting teams and knowledge, and problem solving operational hurdles to enable researchers to do their most impactful work. This particular Research Program Manager will work closely with Research, Legal, and Policy to create a strategy to educate and train our 600+ global UX Research team on UX Research Policy. You will craft and coordinate training content, processes, tools, and modes and will partner closely with our Research Policy Program Manager and Research Policy team to understand existing policies and stay up to date on changes. You will be responsible for working with subject matter experts to ensure high quality work. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert for our global UX Research Team, including developing and administering annual and periodic trainings. This role requires program management experience and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, a team player, and creative problem solver that is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. Successful candidates will be intellectually curious and able to function in a fast-paced environment. You will be highly organized and be able to work with colleagues around the world to understand their unique needs with regard to education and training. You should also have excellent communication and presentation skills, managing a number of complex projects at any given time. You should be passionate about the services we provide, the people that we serve, and the impact of research on those services.

Policy Research Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Design, review, and administer relevant training content, including course materials, presentations, integrated curriculums etc., to increase awareness of Research policies for the purpose of onboarding, annual team refreshers, and as new policies are crafted and implemented
  • Maintain and implement training management processes that scale to the Facebook environment
  • Develop novel and scalable ways to educate researchers and drive risk mitigating behaviors
  • Drive efforts to automate and scale through tooling to detect and educate individuals in real time
  • Conduct planned and ad hoc training across the portfolio of Research policies
  • Build dashboards to illustrate gaps in awareness or progress in content delivery and be able to articulate impact to leadership
  • Leverage data informed insights to drive operations improvements such as efficiency and accuracy
  • Work with cross-functional teams in assessing and identify training needs and gaps and developing effective and scalable solutions to address them
  • Escalate key policy learning gaps to relevant stakeholders
  • Act as a subject matter expert for UX Research Policy
  • Facilitate policy awareness and implementation through communication and knowledge-sharing amongst the UX Research team
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant or related Program or Project Management experience
  • Experience creating and facilitating complex subject matter training sessions for large groups of participants
  • Experience building relationships with peers and senior stakeholders
  • Experience articulating a vision while listening and synthesizing feedback and needs
  • Track record of operating independently, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and experience identifying problems and proactively work towards solutions
  • Communication and presentation skills for interacting with researchers, cross functional stakeholders, and management
  • General knowledge of research and/or UX design
  • Organizational and consensus-building experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years experience working with research
  • Experience working at a tech company or with tech clients
  • Understanding of Facebook products and principles
