Alexandria, VA

The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is the national membership organization for the nation’s federally qualified health centers (also known as FQHCs or Community Health Centers). Health centers are nonprofit, community-directed health clinics that provide access to high-quality, culturally competent, and comprehensive care to people living in medically underserved areas. NACHC strengthens the health center movement through advocacy, training, and technical assistance, clinical and operations support. NACHC is committed to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Program Associate, Environmental Health

The Program Associate, Environmental Health provides organizational and programmatic support to the Direct Relief Power for Health Grant Program. The Direct Relief Power for Health Program at NACHC educates health centers in areas with climate, social, and infrastructure vulnerabilities on the benefits of solar micro-grids and the Direct Relief Grant Program.  Direct Relief installs solar micro-grid power systems on community health centers in vulnerable areas to help ensure they are better prepared, more resilient, and better equipped to remain operational through disaster-caused blackouts.  NACHC facilitates marketing, education, recruitment, and application of eligible health centers.  NACHC serves as a liaison between health centers and Direct Relief through all phases of the equipment installment process.  NACHC supports Direct Relief in program evaluation and reporting on program impact.
