About the position: We are looking for a program coordinator to provide programmatic support to the Council’s Practice Team to help deliver high value executive education and customer service to the public affairs industry. This individual will support a team of public affairs professionals in an administrative capacity with database management, event logistics and related member services.  

Principal functions: 

At the direction of or in conjunction with the directors of the practice team:  

  • Serve as the staff lead for processing event registrations, event confirmations, cancellations, registration reports from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and assist in the administration of events 
  • Responsible for all administrative and operational needs for the Council’s three Certificate programs, including providing progress reports to enrollees, responding to questions and other related inquiries from Council members and other interested professionals and sending other certificate communications as required 
  • Work in conjunction with program staff to assist with database tasks, Web updating, invoicing, post-event billing and follow up, and general administrative duties 
  • Serves as back-up to program coordinators for Council events, event logistics, and staffing events as required. 
  • Assist with select website updates (technical skills not required) and programmatic integration with our CRM (Association Anywhere)  
  • Provide limited support for the Council’s Signature Events, including creating participant badges and other conference materials as required 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:  

  • Office experience in a corporate setting is required 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills that are customer-service oriented, positive and proactive 
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point and Excel  
  • Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail, must display high level of energy and thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • This position may have the occasion for 1-2 trips per year to support the Council’s annual conferences
