Job Description
As a Project Manager, you will be accountable for and managing the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of projects in support of the State Government Affairs and Public Affairs programs. Housed within the fast-paced Government Affairs office the Project Manager will stay abreast of health-related events in the news, conduct basic research, assist in short and long term planning, collaborate with many entities across the CVS Health enterprise, support the development of communication materials and provide organization support. Project scope typically impacts one of the following: content development, research, process, system, function, and/or product. As part of the State Government Affairs team, you will manage long and short-term programs effectively across different departments. The State Government Affairs team, accountable for ensuring effective and timely advocacy initiates in support of our Aetna and CVs business lines. Develop executive communications materials including presentations and talking pointsAssist in the drafting of a broad range of public policy and advocacy communications materialsReview health-related news coverage on a daily basis and provide summaries as neededConduct research of news events, emerging industry trends, legislative and regulatory proposals, and other relevant resourcesPreparation and formatting of advocacy and communications materials, including policy papers, slide decks, issue briefs, executive summaries and talking points, for internal and external useDevelop a library of approved advocacy and communications materialsMaintain accurate and timely tracking databases and archives for policy resources and regulatory process activities and actively solicit team input and feedbackMaintain accurate and timely tracking for on-going legislative and regulatory projectsMaintain accurate and timely tracking for on-going advocacy and policy maker outreach effortsProofread materials and provide copy editing of documentsProactively lead assigned projects by creating project timelines, identifying key milestones and additional resources needed to successfully complete the work. Track progress and communicate project status on a regular basis to all impacted partiesMay identify gaps and recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing processes, services and workflows based on broad view of the organizationOversee short-term and long-term public affairs planningAssist in the dissemination of information internally and for external audiencesAssist in the planning and organizing of public affairs events including paid and earned media opportunitiesAssist in the content development for internal employee education portals

Required Qualifications
3-5+ years of Project Management experience or related experience

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with public policy/government affairs issues
Experience in a communications, marketing or government affairs-related role
Experience working with health-related public policy issues
Experience working in a complicated environment under deadline
Experience with Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook, Abode
Proven experience meeting project dates.
Project management certifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
