Summary

Sacramento’s top-ranked public relations and public affairs firm, and a twice nationally-recognized Best Place to Work, is seeking an experienced public affairs professional to join its growing team and lead dynamic client accounts. With Randle Communications, this team member will manage projects, while also crafting and executing issues-based campaigns and strategic communications projects to support some of California’s leading organizations. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with at least 5 years of professional experience in relevant legislative, campaign or corporate communications. Must have strong project management skills and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced office culture.

The position requires development and execution of strategic campaigns to achieve client objectives. Strong writing and editing skills required, with experience tailoring messages for legislative and stakeholder audiences through digital and traditional mediums.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Serve as client-facing lead on client accounts

· Develop strategic and tactical recommendations to achieve client objectives

· Manage projects and ensure firm’s quality standards are met

· Write, edit and manage the development of content across platforms to educate key audiences on complex topics including regulatory and policy issues

· Coordinate the development, tracking and reporting of digital public affairs and social media content

· Assist with management and development of staff

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Political Science, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field

· Minimum of 5 years full-time work experience in strategic communications, public affairs, campaign or legislative

· Strong project manager and multi-tasker

· Highly motivated self-starter with strong time management skills

· Detail-oriented writer and editor

· Strong verbal communications skills

· Strong content developer

· Confidence to take initiative and find solutions

· Resourceful team player, who excels at building relationships with clients and colleagues
