You will work with a team of experienced, government-focused professionals, providing critical support on policy issues and external affairs. You understand how government policy impacts business, including legislative and regulatory activity. You’ll use your knowledge of federal and state government processes, and where they connect with the commercial sector, to help the Government Affairs team achieve objectives critical to the business. You’ll help drive our success in the policy arena, anticipating, and responding to issues as the environment evolves whether in DC or in state capitals across the country. You’ll collaborate across all teams within Government Affairs to prepare and build consensus on messaging and creative pieces to support key policy objectives, using your familiarity with an array of tools and platforms to amplify our positions. You’ll work with the team to strengthen existing processes and explore new ways to get out the message. You’ll work on current projects, proffer new ones and provide suggestions on course correction as needs evolve. You’ll work alongside regulatory attorneys, lobbyists, and advocates to develop and manage external collateral materials that support policy objectives before the government at all levels.
What you’ll do in your role.
- Produce clear communication materials through a wide range of styles and formats, including talking points, PowerPoint presentations, blogs, formal speeches, videos, letters, articles, op-ed and bylined pieces, and social media
- Develop policy materials and manage evolving messages to support Government Affairs
- Maintain depositories of collateral to support the team
- Manage communications channels, internal and external
- Design presentations on key policy issues
- Monitor and analyze developments in government policy that impact activities
- Drive social media engagement for Government Affairs
- Collaborate across Government Affairs, and with other departments, to identify needs, provide advice and offer solutions
- Interact with external collaborators, including agency personnel and third-party champions
The experience you’ll bring.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience working in government, politics or advocacy
- Capitol Hill experience preferred
- Corporate Government Affairs experience ideal, particularly in issues management
- Public affairs agency or prior communications experience essential
- Outstanding command of English and writing to persuade
- Expert skills in MSFT Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Graphic design proficiency
- Skilled in writing for social media and familiarity with key platforms
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to partner across the company and work with different teams
- Strong writing and editing skills – attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Urgency and flexibility – understanding that there will be after hours work at times
- Calm under pressure and tight deadlines
- Knowledge of consumer technology and wireless technologies a plus

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
