Public Policy Associate Manager, Policy Planning

Facebook is seeking a Public Policy Associate Manager to support coordination for the company’s Policy Planning team across the globe. The Policy Planning team acts as a liaison between the broader Public Policy verticals and Facebook’s leadership team. In this role, you’ll be a strategic member of central team responsible for policy briefing materials, policy planning, and special projects. Your primary responsibility will be to produce policy briefings and memos that are substantively strong and clearly communicated. This will require a keen understanding of policy issues relevant to Facebook around the world and the ability to work collaboratively with experts across the global policy team.

You will also support the Global Public Policy teams’ horizon scanning, strategic planning, and thought leadership work. You’ll work as part of a dynamic team working to address unprecedented global challenges. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, the services we provide and the people we serve. You should be comfortable functioning in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Public Policy Associate Manager, Policy Planning Responsibilities
  • Draft and edit policy briefing materials for executives, leadership, and internal stakeholders across the company
  • Draft public remarks for members of the Global Public Policy leadership team
  • Support the Global Public Policy planning process to ensure coordination and integration of policy with longer-term company objectives
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of subject matter experts including legal, policy, communications, and product stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, History, or similar field
  • 3+ years of experience in public policy or similar field
  • Experience in project management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree, MBA, or Law Degree
  • Interpersonal, analytical and communications experience
  • Experience working with technology companies on policy development
  • Experience drafting policy briefs
