Job Description


  • Support the development of strategic briefing documents for the CEO and senior executive team to inform and guide engagement with government officials and other key global stakeholders; ensure work product is informative, clear and aligned with broader business initiatives
  • Collaborate with global colleagues to help outline the Public Policy & Government Affairs (PPGA) team’s strategic objectives and progress on key policy issues through slide decks and memoranda for the CEO, Board of Directors and other key senior executives
  • Leverage knowledge of public policy and government affairs to track and analyze global issues and how they may impact PepsiCo’s business and PPGA’s strategic agenda
  • Represent PepsiCo’s business / policy objectives and corporate narrative at events and in meetings with global stakeholders
  • Deliver key PPGA objectives related to sustainable agriculture and human rights including:
    • Day to day management of PepsiCo’s grievance process for its agricultural supply chain
    • Collating, analyzing and distributing findings and data related to PepsiCo’s grievance process for its agricultural supply chain
    • Engagement with industry, political and civil society stakeholders on sustainable agriculture and human rights issues
    • Support in the development of relevant policies and standards including through collecting feedback from external stakeholders.
  • Drive and promote knowledge-sharing within PPGA through regular communication with global colleagues and using digital tools (e.g., CRM systems, policy-tracking systems)
  • On an ad-hoc basis, supplement PPGA projects and act as a force-multiplier for the function’s activities


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public policy/ government affairs
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Passion and interest in public policy and government affairs
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadline with minimal supervision
  • General knowledge of global public policy issues, trends and business challenges with strong preference for candidates with experience and knowledge of agriculture, human rights and/or supply chain issues
  • Ability to translate public policy issues for different audiences (e.g., executives, business, external stakeholders)
  • Critical attention to detail

  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization in support of defined objectives
  • Experience working with global offices and as part of a matrixed organization
  • Working knowledge of U.S. politics and key DC-based stakeholders (e.g., Councils, think tanks)
  • Skilled or willing to learn: Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, InDesign
