Responsible for the initial development, oversight and execution of holistic, integrated public relations and influencer strategies for consumer brands to maximize opportunities to engage the customer and drive relevance.



  • Collaborates cross-functionally within the marketing department to align public relations strategies to support holistic programs
  • Manages all aspects of public relations campaigns including collaterals development and media strategies
  • Develops strong relationships with external and internal supplier partners and manages activities of public relations agencies as applicable
  • Manages expenses to develop public relations program budgets
  • Develops strong national media contacts to drive quality press coverage for the Kohl’s brand
  • Ensures maximum press coverage, earned media brand features, and qualitative product editorial placement across all national and regional media channels (print, digital, social & broadcast)
  • Serve as the day-to-day press lead with PR agency


  • Co-leads strategies and execution influencer strategies and plans, incorporating data-driven insights, relevant social trends, and an earned media lens
  • Researches and collaborates across the organization to develop and execute influencer programs and activations that align with brand strategies and annual marketing plans
  • Collaborates cross functionally to creatively integrate influencer programs into all relevant marketing efforts
  • Manages execution of all aspects of influencer programs, campaigns, seeding, and events
  • Creates program/event recap reports, shares with key stakeholders, and identifies opportunities/recommendations to grow future results



  • 6+ years experience in public relations and influencer strategy
  • Ability to manage multiple broad-based programs involving multiple components in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Superior communication skills, including writing and verbal, expert in AP writing guidelines, articulate speaker
  • Superior national media relations skills
  • Must demonstrate extensive experience with broad-based strategy development and execution


  • Experience in consumer media and/or fashion media
  • Experience in development and execution of consumer brand launches
  • An understanding of the retail environment
  • Strong financial acumen with solid understanding of financial statements


  • Moderate travel
