Summary

We are currently seeking a hard-working, highly organized individual that is able to support the Public Relations team as Lidl continues its fast-growing expansion in the U.S. The ideal candidate will work to ensure adequate and successful external communications and the responsible execution of the requirements within the area of corporate communications. This position will work to ensure functioning stakeholder management with media representatives and transparent and adequate press relations.

What You’ll Do

  • Creation of press releases and answering national and regional media inquiries on various topics
  • Support with stakeholder management in the area of media work
  • Active management of relevant journalist contacts
  • Support the Head of Corporate Communications with placement of messages, information gathering and relevant follow-up with internal and external parties
  • Creation and analysis of reports on Lidl and the grocery industry
  • Support PR department in the development, planning, coordination and implementation of PR measures

What You’ll Need

  • BA or BS in Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • 1-2 years working experience in Communications or PR
  • Graphic Design Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hard-working, go-getter and eager to learn
  • Travel Requirements: 25% of the time
