Job Description

Desired Experiences

  • Experience managing a team and overseeing system development and processes associated with producing a large and varied portfolio of reports related to the status of regulatory engagements and remediation activities, performance towards corporate goals, and filings required by law/regulation.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with the business and technical teams to influence business/technology outcomes.
  • Implementing best practices and guidelines for existing or new technologies.  Developing system/user requirements and working with technology partners to design, implement, and test new systems and processes.
  • Assessing reports and systems for efficiencies and ways to improve processes and controls.
  • Reviewing metrics and data for inconsistencies, deficiencies, anomalies, and errors; researching and proposing resolutions for any incompatibilities.
  • Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action.
  • Serving as a point of contact and subject matter expert to address questions, provide guidance, create training, and develop overall communications to ensure awareness and adoption of systems, reporting, and related processes.
  • Reviewing information on regulatory requests and findings in SharePoint and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) databases on a timely basis to ensure accurate reporting.  Identifying data elements to be captured from qualitative source documents.
  • Compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information to prepare source data for entry into databases.
  • Identifying data anomalies; researching and obtaining further information to resolve incomplete documentation.
  • Training and managing a team to capture and report on data.
  • Designing reports to communicate data and trends to business-oriented, non-technical audiences, including internal and external stakeholders and senior management.
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to achieve a common goal.  Thrives in a team environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to interact effectively with various business units and senior leadership.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Required Experiences

  • At least six years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working with a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills – ability to manage large data sets with experience in analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to provide insights into the data.
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion.
  • Experience building strong working relationships with management across divisions.
  • Handling and protecting confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Experience managing multiple ongoing projects under short deadlines, in a fast-paced environment, requiring collaboration with colleagues and across divisions.

Tools and Skills

  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports.
  • Advanced SharePoint (e.g., site development) and Excel (e.g., macros) skills and comfort with Microsoft Office.
  • RiskWorks, MetricStream, Adobe Pro, Tableau, JIRA, and other data processing tools desirable.
  • Collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and issue identification and escalation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions.
