NRECA is seeking an experienced advocate to represent the interests of America’s Electric Cooperatives on matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). This will include direct advocacy with the FERC Chairman, Commissioners, General Counsel and other FERC staff. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing detailed strategies related to such advocacy. This individual will also be an integral part of NRECA’s broader advocacy efforts on power-supply-related matters.
Purpose and Mission
* Participate in major rulemakings and litigation at FERC and in the federal appellate courts involving a substantial number of simultaneous proceedings. Recommend whether to file pleadings, settle, litigate or appeal.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Juris Doctor or advanced degree in relevant areas such as economics or engineering
