Maintains relationships with regulatory bodies and serves as the liaison between the internal Rates/Regulatory function, Corporate Communications, Community Relations, Legal, and external regulators. Attends all open dockets and meetings at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. Assists in building and enhancing current procedures with the intent to improve the long-term relationships with external regulatory bodies.

Attends daily open dockets and meetings at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) and reports on the information discussed.

Has an awareness of regulatory rulings to help determine the impact on company operations, finances, and customer rates. This includes monitoring rulings of jurisdictional utilities and sharing with appropriate internal contacts the implication of such decisions.

Provides information to regulatory staffs, attorneys, auditors, and others relative to regulatory filings.

Actively follows regulatory strategy and submissions of all utilities to provide information in collaboration with Rates, Commercial, and Government Affairs to determine competitive impacts and external threats.

Assists in the development of regulatory strategies to optimize return on assets.

Assists in developing and supporting regulatory strategies related to energy efficiency initiatives.

Coordinates responses to state and federal regulatory agencies’ audits and requests for information.

Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or related field with the following job-related experience.

Knowledge of utility tariffs, code of federal regulations, and regulatory procedures related to certificate filings, rate determination and cost recovery at both the federal and state level.

Experience advising, communicating, interacting, and negotiating effectively.

Experience developing information and conducting formal presentations to groups and individuals.

Working knowledge of utility operations.

Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.

Experience speaking extemporaneously and from prepared material.

Proven collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills – oral and written.

Working knowledge of rate and/or regulatory filings.

Knowledge of accounting methods and audits, preferred.

Ability to review and interpret company policies and procedures, regulatory filings, rate case orders, and reports.

Minimum Applicable driver’s license. Requires both in-state and limited out-of-state travel to other company offices and regulatory hearings.

Mobility to travel in and around office facilities and to a variety of work sites.

Communicate and/or exchange information verbally; conduct oral presentations.

Sufficient to perform job duties.
