RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as day-to-day, client-facing communications support for a key Fortune 10 client (with expected additional capacity for participation on other client accounts).
- Write and edit complex materials, media materials, collateral, and other client-facing deliverables.
- Build and maintain press lists; cultivate relationships with reporters, editors, producers, bloggers, and other media professionals.
- Assist with media outreach strategies, including crafting and executing newsworthy and complex pitches.
- Demonstrate an understanding and contribute to digital & social media platforms and their influence on strategic goals.
- Manage multiple projects, including task and deadline tracking, for multiple clients from concept to completion.
- Maintain knowledge of subject matter, evolving policy, and political issues that impact clients’ businesses.
- Contribute to the firm’s new business process and efforts.
ATTRIBUTES
- A BA/BS degree in a related field and at least 2-4 years of relevant agency or in-house experience.
- Extremely strong writing and communications skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications materials within tight deadlines.
- Superior research and editing skills.
- Ability to identify and cultivate key media contacts and outlets for a range of clients.
- Experience pitching stories to local and national news outlets.
- Experience with rapid response or ‘war room’ efforts.
- Strong strategic thinking and long-term planning skills.
- Ability to project manage and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
