Senior Communications Associate



Drift is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented communications professional to drive awareness and champion our leadership principles through strategic communications programs. This role will support the strategy and execution of key corporate communications initiatives, including internal communications, executive communications, speaking and awards, and spokesperson certification. The senior communications associate will support program management across the brand and communications teams, and they will partner closely with the extended marketing team to deliver integrated plans and programs.

This role has the unique opportunity to develop and amplify Drift’s evolving corporate narrative among both internal and external audiences. A successful candidate will be a creative, enthusiastic storyteller, and a strong collaborator who can partner with various departments to ensure messaging consistency and deliver critical communications. You are a skilled writer with exacting standards, a knack for bringing clarity to complex issues and a successful track record of executing programs for technology companies.



  • Develop and support corporate communications efforts that elevate company goals through thought leadership, corporate storytelling and internal communications.
  • Develop and support an internal communications strategy that engages employees and reflects our leadership principles.
  • Identify executive speaking opportunities, work with the agency partner/PR team to draft submission content and ensure we are submitting applications on deadline.
  • Partner with key members across marketing, human resources and administrative teams to ensure consistent and coherent positioning and engaging messaging for executives across multiple campaigns, events and opportunities.
  • Co-manage the Drift Spokesperson Certification program by overseeing spokesperson tracker, managing the relationship with our spokesperson trainer and updating program materials on a regular basis.
  • Partner with the Sr. Brand & Communications Manager and the Sr. Employee Brand Manager to develop an internal communications request portal.
  • Partner with the Sr. Brand & Communications Manager, Sr. Employee Brand Manager and IT team to implement new systems for our company intranet and serve as the point of contact for intranet organization and content.
  • Identify awards that highlight company executives and product innovation, and partner with PR agency to draft submission content.
  • Advise on best practices and build scalable, repeatable processes for key internal stakeholders.
  • Support program management across the brand and communications functions.
  • Partner with our Head of DEI to amplify CSR activities internally and externally.
  • Monitor company communication channels to keep a pulse on employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Draft internal and executive communications (e.g., newsletters, organizational updates from executives, corporate announcements, articles for the intranet, etc.)
  • Maintain team process documents and comms dashboard.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of messages across all communications channels.
  • Manage unexpected communication challenges with high judgment and professionalism.
