POSITION TITLE: Senior Communications Manager
BASIC FUNCTION: Oversee CEO e-marketing communications; directly supervise Digital Communications Manager; optimize digital member platforms such as the app, website, and social media to increase member engagement and elevate end-user interface; manage integrity of membership data for Marketing department; monitor and analyze marketing data analytics from Salesforce, Pardot, SurveyMonkey, and other CEO platforms to drive strategies for increased member engagement; manage digital surveys and evaluations; oversee proper functioning of communications platforms; serve as main point on contact on all CEO partnerships/sponsorships in relation to events or membership benefits; support marketing publication and design teams as needed.
Primary Areas of Responsibility
Coordinate with IT to ensure CEO is using the best platforms, and fully leveraging platform capabilities
o Serve as main point of contact for said platforms in tandem with Director of IT
o Oversee production, testing, and distribution of organization’s broadcast e-mails and direct marketing materials in partnership with appropriate staff; some writing, editing, and basic design required.
- Support Events and Education regarding virtual offerings: webcasts, exclusive experiences, cocktails & connections.
o Review marketing and web automation analytics reports; analyze trends and propose responsive strategies.
o Oversee operation and maintenance of Pardot:
- Create and issue communications
- Operate drip/nurturing campaigns
- Execute metric analyses
- Improve leverage of past campaign data to refine target-driven marketing
- Improve leverage of past campaign data to hone nature, timing, and presentation of marketing communications for maximal efficacy
- Optimize communications for all platforms, regions, time zones
o Utilize Salesforce database reporting to pull needed reports for marketing communications, verifying accuracy of the information in each list
o Work with Director of IT to ensure the database is meeting the needs of our membership and that data integrity is maintained
o Spearhead Salesforce integration aspects of Pardot
o Leverage Salesforce data to support design of targeted marketing messages to increase member engagement
CEO Website and CEO Global App
o Ensure the two platforms are in sync
o Ensure data is current, outdated content is removed, and new content is uploaded
o Continually refine end-user experience and appearance
o Collect and review member usage data to design marketing initiatives to increase use of platforms
o Oversee design and execution of surveys for all departments
o Evaluate efficacy of current versus competitive platforms and tools
Work collaboratively with Membership department on new member communications to:
o Onboard new members
o Execute nurturing campaigns
o Develop and execute best practice protocols and toolkits for recruitment and new member engagement
o Educate current members on recruitment toolbox
o Ensure smooth operation of App
o Assist with membership communications/local events
o Implement logo and “recruitment toolkit branding” to help members recognize CEO offerings well suited to invite and include prospects as a recruitment tool
Member Profile Management
o Develop and implement protocols for intake, update, and formatting member bios
o Manage event profile books in the App
o Execute quarterly and event specific update reminder communications to members
Creative Content and Management
o Social Media
- Work with appropriate staff to ensure continual fresh content
- Leverage metrics to increase members’ social media engagement
- Deploy as tool to promote CEO initiatives
o Assist Director of Marketing Communications with content generation as needed
o Help produce the Uncommon Connector newsletter
o Partner with Events/Education/Membership to stock and maintain folders with photo content for use in connection with digital media and marketing communications.
o Support Director of Marketing Communications with budget planning
o Manage vendor contracts in the digital space (technology platforms, etc.) and ensure continually competitive pricing.
o Serve as the main point of contact for all CEO event sponsorships and/or partnerships for member benefits.
Reports to the Director of Marketing. Direct supervisor of Digital Communications Manager. Has daily contact with Membership, Events and Education Department staff. Works closely on scheduling with the Marketing Communications Manager.
Has frequent contact with International Chair of the Board, Board Members, Event Chairs, and Committee Members, as well as vendors/suppliers.
